The bar we build for a West Miami gathering
A gathering in West Miami means about 13 miles across the county for us. We plan the arrival backwards from your start time rather than forwards from ours, which is the entire reason your schedule survives contact with traffic.
Venue hunting for a gathering in West Miami tends to spill into Westchester and Coral Gables; Coral Terrace begins about a mile out. We quote the whole cluster identically, so crossing a boundary mid-search never restarts your pricing.
Because West Miami is its own city, the rules that shape a gathering here are local ones: how late music may run, where a truck may stand, whether the space needs booking in its own right. We would far rather know the constraint than discover it on the day.
What you actually book for a West Miami gathering is a licensed, insured team, a bar that photographs well, and a drinks list built with you rather than handed to you. What you do not book is a stranger who turns up and asks where the ice is.
Plans change. A West Miami gathering can be moved free of charge up to 48 hours before the date, which is the part of the terms people most often end up needing.
The quickest way to learn what a West Miami gathering costs is to build it below — no call, no form-then-wait, and nobody standing between you and the figure.
Do you do gatherings in West Miami?
Yes, and it is one of the things we are booked for most. West Miami is about 13 miles south of our Hialeah base, and a gathering here runs on the same kit and the same crew as anywhere else in the county.
You can price yours in the wizard on this page before speaking to anyone.
How long does setup take for a gathering in West Miami?
The window is about 1 hour before service, and it has to cover the carry from wherever we can park, the build, the ice and the garnish.
Breakdown runs the same way in reverse, and the space is left as we found it — about 13 miles of drive home notwithstanding.
How many bartenders for a West Miami gathering?
It follows the guest count and how long the bar stays open. The wizard on this page sizes it as you fill it in.
Half the bartending quotes we write are for 50 guests or fewer, which is usually one bartender working steadily.
Do you cater to guests who are not drinking?
Always. Bottled water, soft drinks and a proper mocktail or two are part of how we build a gathering menu, not an afterthought bolted on at the end.
Portions are worked out from your total headcount, so nobody is counting cups at the end of the night.
Can the bar stay open longer on the night?
Often, if the crew's schedule allows it. Extra time is added at the same hourly rate rather than at a penalty rate.
It is worth deciding in advance where you want last call, because the hour people regret is almost always the last one.

YD Cocktails is spectacular to work with. From the very first consultation, to the follow up by Yovana, to the smallest details and questions they asked. All to ensure that every detail was in place, and it was customized for us, family, and friends. From the display menu to the specialty drinks for the house. The drinks were as appealing to the eye as they were to drink Phenomenal presentation and taste. I don’t think Yovana and David had a chance to stop all night. I swear !!!! Even with that they served all kinds of shots and Cuba Libre (Mentirita) on the dance floor to keep the party going. The attention to detail and professionalism is second to none. I asked to add an extra hour at the very last minute as the guest didn’t want them to leave and that was not a problem whatsoever. Delighted and so happy I went with YD Cocktails. HIGHLY HIGLY RECOMMEND !!!!
