What we know about Palmetto Estates
Straight answers for Palmetto Estates hosts
There is about 23 miles between our loading bay and Palmetto Estates, heading south. On runs this length we load the night before wherever we can, so the morning is a drive and a setup rather than a scramble, and we arrive with the margin a long run actually needs.
The nearest of our other service areas to Palmetto Estates is South Miami Heights, about 2 miles away, with Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay behind it. That matters mostly for venues: plenty of Palmetto Estates events actually happen a few minutes over the boundary, and that is an ordinary booking.
There is no city hall in Palmetto Estates. It is an unincorporated part of Miami-Dade, so county rules apply and any tighter restriction comes from your community or your venue rather than a local ordinance. We ask about both before we schedule the truck.
Setup begins about 1 hour ahead of your start time. We would always rather walk into an empty room than a full one, so tell us the earliest your venue will let us in and we will usually take it.
Bartending in Palmetto Estates is priced the way it is priced everywhere we work: $85/hour with a 3-hour minimum, and a quote you can see online without waiting for a callback. Crossing the county does not move the hourly rate.
The median event we price runs 4 hours. Worth knowing while you are deciding when a Palmetto Estates evening should start and stop — most hosts underestimate the gap between doors opening and dinner being served.
What time would the bartenders arrive in Palmetto Estates?
About 1 hour before service starts, which is the window we work to everywhere. With about 23 miles to cover from Hialeah we leave with margin rather than counting on a clear road.
If your venue will let us in earlier we will usually take it — an unhurried setup is the cheapest quality upgrade on the whole booking.
Which areas near Palmetto Estates do you also cover?
South Miami Heights, Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay are the closest, starting about 2 miles out at South Miami Heights, and we serve the rest of Miami-Dade besides.
Guests traveling between them are worth a thought when you set your start time. Arrivals bunch, and a bar that opens on schedule is a bar that clears the first rush.
How many bartenders will I need in Palmetto Estates?
It follows the guest count and how long the bar is open more than anything else, and the wizard on this page sizes it as you fill it in.
For a sense of scale: half the bartending quotes we write are for 50 guests or fewer, which is usually one bartender working steadily rather than two standing idle.
How far ahead should I book a Palmetto Estates event?
As early as you can, for the dull reason that weekend crews are finite. December is the month we price the most bartending dates in — 13% of them — so a date in that stretch is worth locking down.
A 25% deposit is all it takes to hold one, and it stays refundable until 7 days out.
YD Cocktails is spectacular to work with. From the very first consultation, to the follow up by Yovana, to the smallest details and questions they asked. All to ensure that every detail was in place, and it was customized for us, family, and friends. From the display menu to the specialty drinks for the house. The drinks were as appealing to the eye as they were to drink Phenomenal presentation and taste. I don’t think Yovana and David had a chance to stop all night. I swear !!!! Even with that they served all kinds of shots and Cuba Libre (Mentirita) on the dance floor to keep the party going. The attention to detail and professionalism is second to none. I asked to add an extra hour at the very last minute as the guest didn’t want them to leave and that was not a problem whatsoever. Delighted and so happy I went with YD Cocktails. HIGHLY HIGLY RECOMMEND !!!!
