What The Hammocks hosts get
The bar we build for a The Hammocks wedding
Running a wedding bartender out to The Hammocks is about 21 miles southwest of work before the bar is even built. That is our side of the arrangement and not yours — but it is why we would rather have your venue details a week out than an hour out.
The Hammocks has Kendall West and Kendale Lakes close at hand, the nearest about 3 miles out. Guests coming from that direction arrive together, so we build the wedding bar to absorb a front-loaded rush rather than a steady stream.
There is no The Hammocks city hall to call — it is an unincorporated area of Miami-Dade. For a wedding that usually simplifies things: one county rulebook, plus whatever your community says about vehicles and hours.
For a wedding in The Hammocks we build the menu around your guests — classics, frozen drinks, mocktails, whatever the room will actually drink — then bring the mixers, juices, garnish, ice, coolers and serveware that make it work.
Setup starts roughly 1 hour ahead of your start time, and we hold that against your run sheet rather than our own. If the ceremony, the speeches or the entrance move, the bar moves with them.
The quickest way to learn what a The Hammocks wedding costs is to build it below — no call, no form-then-wait, and nobody standing between you and the figure.
Do you do weddings in The Hammocks?
Yes, and it is one of the things we are booked for most. The Hammocks is about 21 miles southwest of our Hialeah base, and a wedding here runs on the same kit and the same crew as anywhere else in the county.
You can price yours in the wizard on this page before speaking to anyone.
How long does setup take for a wedding in The Hammocks?
The window is about 1 hour before service, and it has to cover the carry from wherever we can park, the build, the ice and the garnish.
Breakdown runs the same way in reverse, and the space is left as we found it — about 21 miles of drive home notwithstanding.
Are your bartenders licensed and insured?
Yes, on every booking. If your The Hammocks venue wants a certificate, ask and we will send it across.
The crew is on site about 1 hour before service and dresses to whatever code the wedding calls for.
How many drinks should I plan for per guest?
It depends far more on the length of service than on the headcount, which is why the wizard asks for hours before it asks for anything else.
Tell it your guest count and how long you want the bar open and it will size the ice, mixers and serveware for you.
How long does breakdown take after a wedding?
Less time than setup. The bar comes down, everything goes back on the truck, and the space is left as we found it.
If your venue has a hard curfew, tell us and we will work backwards from it rather than from last call.
When should I book a The Hammocks wedding?
Earlier than feels necessary. December is our heaviest month for bartending quotes — 13% of them — and weekend crews run out before dates do.
A 25% deposit holds it and stays refundable until 7 days out, so booking early costs nothing but a decision.
YD Cocktails is spectacular to work with. From the very first consultation, to the follow up by Yovana, to the smallest details and questions they asked. All to ensure that every detail was in place, and it was customized for us, family, and friends. From the display menu to the specialty drinks for the house. The drinks were as appealing to the eye as they were to drink Phenomenal presentation and taste. I don’t think Yovana and David had a chance to stop all night. I swear !!!! Even with that they served all kinds of shots and Cuba Libre (Mentirita) on the dance floor to keep the party going. The attention to detail and professionalism is second to none. I asked to add an extra hour at the very last minute as the guest didn’t want them to leave and that was not a problem whatsoever. Delighted and so happy I went with YD Cocktails. HIGHLY HIGLY RECOMMEND !!!!
